We did not ask for permission.
We put a live broadcast on the open web, and that was the end of those gatekeepers. Suddenly everyone could freely share their knowledge and creativity, in the best medium for conveying emotion too: video.
Unfortunately, there are new gatekeepers. Platforms decide what may be seen. Laws from outside Europe give foreign governments access to your content, your viewers and your data. Your audience has become a product. Not by you. About you.
That is back to 1993. Perhaps even back to 1984.
